MY TEACHING STYLE
The yoga I share comes from a Viniyoga approach, a gentle and adaptable style rooted in the Hatha yoga tradition. Viniyoga emphasises meeting each student where they are, rather than fitting everyone into a single mold. It’s about personalisation, breath awareness and mindful sequencing that supports your unique body, mind and stage of life.
At its heart, this practice is a version of Hatha yoga - the classical path of physical postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation. Hatha yoga is the foundation of most modern yoga styles, designed to create balance and steadiness in both body and mind.
In my classes, you can expect:
Adaptable sequences that honour your needs and abilities.
A balance of movement and stillness, strength and release.
Gentle reminders to move with your breath and listen to your body.
A practice that supports not just flexibility and strength, but also inner calm and resilience.
Yoga, for me, is less about achieving the “perfect pose” and more about cultivating presence, compassion, and sustainable wellbeing - both on and off the mat.
Yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, and eye pillows are all supplied. However you’re also welcome to bring your own.
