About Studio Owner & Teacher Kate
Kate is a Certified Level 2 Yoga Teacher with extensive training, including 350 hours of Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training, 200 hours of Level 2, and additional certifications in Pregnancy Yoga (60 hours) and Reiki (Level 1 and 2). She's currently furthering her studies in Yin Yoga (100 hours).
With over 8 years of teaching experience, since 2017, Kate has taught Yoga classes at various gyms, studios, and retirement villages in The Redlands and Brisbane. Her consistent teaching schedule has included 6-20 classes per week.. so if you think of it in terms of how many classes she’s taught over the years, it would be over the 5k mark. Kate's dedication to Yoga and teaching is evident in her long-standing relationships with students and studios, with some groups taught loyally for 7+ years.
Music and singing are passions that bring Kate fulfillment also, having had a background in performing arts, singing & playing guitar at weddings, and gigs with her old band, She loves incorporating sung mantras, her own lyrics and or Sanskrit chants into her Yoga classes, often weaving them seamlessly into the end of class, during or after meditation.
Beyond her Yoga teaching, Kate's life is filled with joyful moments with her loving husband and two children. She finds peace in her garden, which is a shared love with her husband, they also sell plants ~ mainly cactus and succulents that they have propagated from their garden. Kate is also an active member in her local gym.
All of this brings Kate happiness, but also deeply inspires her teaching. This harmony between her personal and professional life allows her to share her passion for Yoga with authenticity and compassion.
“Yoga has helped to transform my own life for the better, it’s helped me process and feel my grief after the loss of my older brother, and my aim is to empower others to discover yoga's profound benefits for overall wellbeing. Maybe, it can help to bring you home to yourself too.
I’ve also learnt over the years that having a supportive community can really help you on your journey, so that’s where Saha comes in.
"Saha" meaning “together” in Sanskrit, implies a sense of community, unity, and connection. Together, we'll explore the transformative power of yoga, supporting and inspiring each other along the way” ~ Kate
