Coming Home: The Story Behind Opening My Home Yoga Studio

A reflection on timing, trust, and the unfolding of a long-held vision

In 2019, I began creating space in my heart, and in my home, to welcome others into yoga and connection. I held small classes and 1:1 sessions from my home studio, with the quiet intention of letting it grow gently. My business name at the time was ‘Let Us Lotus’.

But as life often does, things shifted.

The pandemic arrived, and with it, the world slowed. Restrictions came, and I made the decision to pause the offering of classes in my home. Around the same time, I fell pregnant with my first daughter, and a new chapter of life began to open.

Though the studio doors were closed, the vision remained alive within me. I continued teaching yoga in my local community - at studios, gyms, and spaces that held room for me as both a teacher and a new mother. I offered 1:1 sessions when I could, still feeling the quiet pull of that original seed I'd planted in 2019.

After welcoming my second daughter, and watching her recently turn two, something in me shifted again. A softness returned. A sense of readiness. A deep knowing that it was time to reopen the space I had long dreamed of.

With over four years to sit with the vision, refine it, and feel into what I truly wanted to create, I opened the doors to Saha Yoga & Wellness in March 2025.

This space has become more than just a studio - it’s a reflection of my journey, my growth, my devotion to yoga and my belief in timing.

Sometimes, we plant seeds and expect them to bloom quickly. But often, the most heartfelt creations need space.

Time to settle, time to deepen, time to become.

And yes, we take action, we dream, we plan, we map things out.

But there's something powerful in trusting the unfolding, too.

So this is a little story of patience. Of holding a vision in your heart.

Of knowing that just because something pauses, doesn’t mean it’s over.

I’m so grateful to now welcome students into this home space again, to move, breathe, and remember together.

And if you're holding a vision of your own… I hope this reminds you that timing has a wisdom all of its own.

With love,

Kate
